If I could sum up my plan for 2019.
This quote would be it.
“Be so good they can’t ignore you”
Many people will know that I’ve had many failed businesses over the years…
- Gluten-free snack boxes.
- Pick and mix home delivery (I still think this would work).
- And selling designer candles.
To name just a few.
But the reason why none of those ventures worked out?
Because I wasn’t an expert in any of them.
I don’t eat sweets, I love bread and I have lights in my house.
Those that really make their businesses (and careers) work?
They get REALLY good at what they do.
Ed Sheeran? Performed gigs every single night (even for free).
David Beckham? Practised free-kicks after training with his dad every evening.
They learn, practice, fail and experience.
Every single day.
They become so good that people take notice.
And when they see you offering value through that skill.
They start offering you more money.
So instead of trying to figure out the best way to get a promotion at work.
Or designing the best funnel or social media strategy.
Why not instead, focus on becoming SO GOOD at what you do.
That everything else becomes irrelevant.
And you know what?
You might see big things start to happen.
